Anzali port as a major and oldest port in north of Iran plays a significant role in cargo transit. A clear identifying of the key situation of this port in North- south Coridor as well as implementing appropriate transit strategy will help the performance of this port through attracting more cargo.In this research first the weakness and strengthens (Internal Factors) as well as treats and opportunities (External factors) of Anzali port are identified and evaluated through SWOT analysis. Analyzing the internal factor evaluation matrix shows that “entering ship to the port without delay” and ” the high rate of cargo handling” are major strengths in functional area of this port while “the lack of coordination among port and other organisation” as well as “ lack of Storage” are the most dominant weaknesses. Results for evaluating external factors indicate “increasing transit income” as the best opportunities and “sever competition in attracting cargo transit” as an important threat. Finally, QSPM technique is applied to evaluate the alternative strategies in this port. Comparing eight key selected strategies indicates that “attracting merchant”, “keeping the fixed customers” and “overhauling port facilities” have the most priority respectively.To provide the total weighted scores in SWOT and the relative attractiveness of QSPM, two separate Likert scale questioner forms are distributed among 16 experts of Anzali port.

Measurement of blood parameters is one of diagnosis way for disease and health in marine that can change by numerous factors. In this study 30 spotted catsharks, with similar characteristics of both sexes were caught from the northern estuary, of Persian Gulf. After hunting collection and blood smeer, parameters and factors, including WBC, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, neutrophils and blood indices, including MCV, MCH, MCHC were measured. Results indicated no significant difference between the measured parameters and both sexes (p>0.05). The parameters, lymphocytes with the highest and eosinophils with lowest number both were seen in males. The amount of white blood cells were more in male than female but the most of blood indices of MCV was seen in male and the lowest of MCHC was seen in female. In this research, WBC blood parameters in cat spotted shark were similarities and differences with other marine that have been reported.

Sharpnose mullet is an exotic species of Caspian Sea which was translocated from Black sea to Caspian Sea during 1930 to 1934 then colonized successfully and now it is commercial species of Caspian Sea. There are no information at molecular level about this species after 8 decade presence in Caspian Sea, therefor in order to investigation of genetic structure of Sharpnose mullet (L. saliens) in two regions, Babolsar (27 specimens) and Tonekabon (30 specimens), of Mazandaran Province was used 6 microsatellite loci. Results showed low allelic richness (Na=5) and high level of Heterozygosity (Ho=0.821). So genetic diversity of species this was very low relative to marine species. Also, genetic differentiation index between population was very low (0.032) due to natural migration and high gen flow (10.4) between these regions.

In order to investigate the population structure species of sea cucumber Holothuria parva in the two regions Bostaneh Port and Dayer Port, 16S rRNA gene sequencing method was used. In total, 417 nucleotide locus were determined, after investigating in the NCBI database, sequences were consistent with 16S rRNA gene and Samples were verified to belong to the species of H. parva. In total four haplotypes were identified, one of which was common in both regions. Bostaneh Port had 3 haplotypes and Dayer Port had 2 haplotypes. Haplotype diversity was estimated to be 83 percent in Bostaneh Port and 50 percent in Dayer Port. Estimated Nucleotide diversity in Bostaneh and Dayer Ports were measured 0.007 and 0.002 respectively. Low genetic differentiation (Fst=0.000), divergences rate (Dxy= 0.0048) and high gene flow (Nm=1874) between the two regions were estimated. Based on this study Bostaneh and Dayer Port samples have probably diverged from an identical population since a high gene flow and low differentiation is observed among them. There is also a common haplotype, suggesting a common ancestor of H. parva in two regions.

This investigation, which involved the satellite images together with simulation model, focuses on the effect of the sea hydrodynamics on coastal area classification. The study area is the North-West coasts of Oman Gulf. Mike 21 was employed to simulate the hydrodynamics of the Oman Gulf and Aster images were used to classify the coastal area applying Shepard’s method. Coastal classification of the area proposed the secondary coasts cover just 7% of the area including the Sirik headland and Jask regions. Intrusion of land toward the sea for Sirik headland and existence of longshore current in the area are the main reasons. The Jask area is located in transition zone between deep water of Oman Gulf and shallow water of Hormoz Strait, was influenced by marine affects.

Hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricate) as endangered species on the southern coast of Iran, is facing numerous threats that significantly reduced this rare species. The purpose of this study was to investigate the behavior of Hawksbill babies in artificial light. This study was done in the sandy protected beach in Kish Island, Persian Gulf. The effects of light on sea turtle babies with two treatments were examined. According to region conditions, the first treatment is flashing, directly and horizontal light (represents the lights of the cars that crossing from backshore road) and the second treatment is indirect, vertical light (indicator the lights of lamps in the road). Data of each treatment were compared by using paired T-test. The result of T-test in first treatment showed, significant difference between the number of sea turtle babies who deviated by flashing lights. However, the result of T-test in second treatment showed, there is no significant difference between the number of sea turtle babies who deviated by vertical lights. As a result, lamps of crossing car are more destructive than vertical lamps of road. Of course, both of them are destructive and should adopt the management solutions to reduce the light sources particularly lights of crossing cars.

Yeasts, single-celled organisms, are known as intestinal flora of fish and other creatures, however any comprehensive information about them is not available. These unicellular are not only origin of known and unknown diseases; by owing of probiotic properties Such as production of some antibiotics and vitamins are useful for these creatures. According to researches, great population and species diversity of these unicellular yeasts can be anticipated in creature intestine flora. In present study, along with study on species diversity of Saccharomyces genus, as natural intestines flora of Rainbow Trout fishes, several new species similar to Saccharomyces genus were detected in the intestinal flora. Identification of the yeasts flora of rainbow trout fish by molecular techniques of PCR as well as diffraction media could charachterazied not only some strain of Saccharomyces genus but also a new genus of Kazachstania in domestic rainbow trout fishes. Atmospheric dust particles originating in the arid and semi arid regions of the world are known to be principal sources of mineral dust. The use of satellite remote sensing dust, the potential of this technique is created to provide valuable information to assist in the design of network measurement and estimation dust in marine environments. Dust deposited provides key nutrients such as iron to oceanic phytoplankton. Aerosol optical depth were reviewed in the study between March 2008 and December 2013 in the Persian Gulf. Aqua and Terra satellites for the MODIS sensor data as well as aerosol data (PM10) and Environmental stations and optical depth stations AERONET, used to evaluate the aerosol optical depth. The results showed that the data of MODIS AOD has acceptable accuracy and very high correlation between the values measured by MODIS and network AERONET, there (correlation coefficient: 90/0). Comparison between AOD values derived from measurements by satellites Aqua and Terra MODIS sensor and the amount of aerosol (PM10) estimated environmental stations in the Persian Gulf region also took place. The results showed that between these two values correlated to the Aqua and Terra satellites in the study area, and the correlation coefficient was greater in summer than winter. The results of this study showed that the optical depth data from the MODIS satellite images can provide accurate information dusts the Persian Gulf.

Temperature is one of the fundamental parameters in physical oceanography and study of marine processes. The variation of Spatial and local of Sea Surface Temperature have an important role on climate change , life of fish, ocean currents, amount of salinity and the other carectistics of seas and lakes. The purpose of this research has predicted of sea surface temperature in the Caspian Sea. So the data on the Caspian Sea surface temperature (SST) that have been measured with Aqua satellite from MODIS sensor have been collected from 2003 to 2007 .This data analyzed by Fourier series method. Using Fourier analysis calculated Fourier coefficients and temperature predict for future year. Also average of sea surface temperature in three portion of Caspian Sea by 24 selected stations has been calculated. The pattern of sea surface temperature in different times of whole Caspian Sea during 2003-2007 was identified. The result of spectral time series is shown that temperature variation in different times have a same pattern. So in all stations spectral frequency have a 12 month periodic pattern.

Jacket-type offshore platforms play an important role in oil and gas industries in shallow and intermediate water depths such as Persian Gulf region. Such important structures need accurate considerations in analysis, design and assessment procedures. Incremental wave analysis for performance-based assessment of jacket platforms is established in 2011 to estimate different limit states and accurate behavior of jacket platform against environmental wave loading. IWA can be appropriate substitute to current pushover practice. The IWA can estimate the collapse-prevention limit state of jacket platforms properly. In addition, an appropriate parameter for ultimate capacity of offshore platforms is introduced which is called Collapse Wave Height (CWH). The CWH can be utilized as a substitute to RSR parameter in the design and assessment of jacket platforms. In this paper, IWA is explained. IWA curves, collapse-prevention limit state and CWH for case study platform is calculated. Effect of deck mass and its distribution on CWH is examined.

According to the importance of growth hormone gene in aquaculture, in this study, cloning of gowth hormone gene of Orange-spotted grouper (Epinephelus coioides) was examined in pTZ57R/T vector.For this purpose, growth hormone cDNA was preparated and amplified using specific designed primers. PCR product was purified by QIAquick Gel Extraction Kit, Growth hormone gene was inserted in pTZ57R/T vector. Ligation product was transformed into competent E.coli (DH5α) cells. The white clones selected on the LB media and were extracted plasmid as recombinant bacteria .verified clones obtained in this study were performed by direct PCR and sequencing methods Orange-spotted grouper growth hormone cDNA contains an open reading frame consisting of 615 nucleotides and 204 amino acid protein. The calculated molecular weight and isoelectric point of growth hormone protein were respectively 23.014 and 6.9. Results of this study suggested that growth hormone gene of Orange-spotted grouper was successfully cloned in the pTZ57R/T vector, and can be used for growth hormone gene expression in expression vectors and growth hormone protein production. Comparison of gene sequences obtained with E.coioides GH gene sequence in gene bank, indicate sequence similarity between them.
