The aim of this study was to estimate the amount and species composition of discards in bottom trawl fisheries in the Bosif fishing ground in the coastal waters of Khuzestan. Furthermore, the biological parameters of discarded species were assessed. Specimens were collected from commercial catch data of trawl vessels in three seasons, autumn and winter 2017 and summer 2018. The results showed that discarded samples included 33 species from 28 families. Orangefin Pony fish and striped piggy species were the most frequent species in this study. The results also showed that the mean length of most of the discards species was below 30 centimeters. The amount of discards per unit of catching effort was 57.33±9.87, 27.50±16.64 and 32.33±7.50 in the autumn, winter and summer seasons, respectively. The catch per surface area in autumn, winter and summer were 2.77 ± 0.064, 0. 73 ±0.39 and 1.73 ± 0.44 kg/nm2, respectively. The results showed that CPUE and CPUA in winter were significantly higher than those in autumn and summer (p<0.05). In general, the results of this study represent high fishing pressure on ecologically important species in Bosif fishing ground especially in their critical life cycle which may affect local ecosystem structure and function in future.

Marine Transport terms in competition of presenting safer services to its stake holders. The cargo and ship owners are considering the issue as their main concerns. Implementing the ISM Code is a way of achieving and improving mentioned safety goals. Implementation of these goals, would be in hands of correct operation of the ship’s masters and their crews. Management and responsibility of implementation of the ISM Code would be on shoulder of the ship masters and how they transfer the concept and importance of the Code to their crews. The role of a master is to intermediate between the shipping company and the seafarer and the ship as an individual. Appropriate management of inter relation plays a sensitive role on implementing the ISM Code. In line with the above, there are five categories for implementation of the code which, the following should be taken into consideration; human resource management on board of vessel, training of seafarers, the role of safety management in shipping companies and safety and security matters. These data collection has been carried out from a group of Iranian Ship masters as expertise’s, and the answers were obtained for the analysis. The role of motivation in improving the implementing of the code has been considered as a challenging point. In the second part of the research, notably the reliability of each part and motivation theory, has been taken into the consideration. To analyze the collected data, the SPSS 16 and AMOS software’s were utilized. The collected statistics showed that implementing of ISM Code by the Iranian seafarers is realized and the calculated amount of chi-square and the degree of freedom (df) indicates the virtually of the research. Therefore, implementation of the ISM Code along with motivation would have a positive effect in the safety on board of the ships and would result in the safety of navigation for Iranian seafarers.

The only navigable river is the Karun River in Iran. Karun shipping history dates back to Nasser al-Din Qajar Shah. Climate change and drought, harvests more water and reduce its capacity, the existence of new railways and highways as the main competitors of cargo from the port of Mahshahr and Khorramshahr to Ahvaz due to the boom in river water transport has been falling. There are few studies on water transport in Karun river. In this study, some of their results are discussed in general. Then, based on the acceptance of the latest research, the most important physical barriers to river transportation have been identified and their remediation strategies adapted to the current situation. Then shipping Signs required of navigation and auxiliary's equipment for sailing have also been offered.Previous studies included :(Iranian structural consulting engineers, 2004; Adabdanan Consulting Engineers, 2004) and Especially (Scott Wilson and Piesold, 2005) It has been attributed to the heavy losses of water transportation, especially in the high tonnage of annual freight. The most recent study, ongoing surveys at the Khuzestan Water and Power Organization (Mansouri Kia, 2018) show that the transport medium (in the pessimistic scenario optimistic scenario about 700 thousand tons and 2133 thousand tons in the target year 1425), together with previous studies is the development of tourism can be no economic losses. Water transport is the base year 2020. Heavy financial losses were previously assumed for river transportation. The most important results of recent research suggest that these losses are reduced by modifying the design vessel dimensions.Another important result of the present study is identifying the physical problems for the Iranian rivers transportation and to provide solutions (except for the sediment removal problem that is being investigated at another study). Applying the research results on solving physical barriers and financial support by private investment (or other financing options), revive water transportation in Karun it is possible.

The aim of this study was to investigate the different levels of dietary fucoidan on growth performance, survival and biochemical parameters of Litopenaus vannamei. Shrimps with a mean initial weight about 8 g were fed with four different diets containing four levels of fucoidan (0, 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4%) for 30 days in a completely randomized design with triplicates. The results showed that the growth performance (final weight, weight gain, feed conversion ratio and specific growth rate) of shrimp fed with diet containing fucoidan was significantly (P <0.01) improved compared to shrimps fed with control diet. The best growth performance was observed in shrimps fed diet containing 0.4% fucoidan. Survival did not show a significant difference between the groups fed with fucoidan supplementation and control (P> 0.05). The biochemical parameters of hemolymph including glucose, triglyceride and cholesterol were significantly reduced in shrimps fed with different levels of fucoidan compared to the control group. However, the amount of protein in the groups fed with fucoidan supplementation increased compared to the control. The activity of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase enzymes in hemolymph of control shrimp was higher than shrimps fed with fucoidan diet. In general, the results of the present study revealed that diets containing different levels of fucoidan, especially 0.4%, led to the increment of growth indices and the improvement of hemolymph biochemical parameters, thus improving of the health status of shrimp.

The purpose of this study was to design a strategic map and implement swimming sports strategies in Fars province with a balanced scorecard approach. The research method is descriptive and applied in terms of purpose. Research data were collected in the field and in a mixed manner (quantitative and qualitative). The statistical population in the quantitative part, including the heads of the swimming boards of the province and cities and the managers of the clubs, was equal to 60 people and in the qualitative part, 12 experts. Due to the limitation of members, the statistical population was equal to the sample. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by 10 university professors and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test. (86/0 = α). Frequency percentage, logical induction method and strategic council were used to analyze the data. The results showed that in swimming province of Fars province, there are 4 perspectives of finance and development, customer, internal processes and growth and learning, 35 strategic goals and 38 criteria of determination. And 47 actions and initiatives were developed to achieve the goals. It can be concluded that the proposed model, in addition to implementing the strategy, has the ability to create the ground for achieving the long-term goals of Persian swimming.

Mnemiopsis leidyi in Caspian Sea is an example of invasive alien species that was moved to Caspian Sea by ballast water of ships through Volga- Don canal in the 1990th decade. This Plankton-eating species put many of creatures of Caspian Sea such as Common Kilkas, Sturgeons and Caspian seals at risk of distinction by disrupting the food chain. Due to the hard environmental and economic impacts of invasive alien species, the main question of this research is what obligations does international law impose on the Caspian coastal states to manage such species? In response, by using descriptive- analytical method and library resources, it was concluded that the Islamic Republic of Iran and other countries along Caspian Sea have become members of some global and regional environmental agreements which explicitly or implicitly, assigns them obligations on prevention, control and elimination of alien invasive species. International customary rules and general legal principles also impose obligations on these states to take preventive, precautionary and control measures. Violations any of primary obligations by countries or causing damage, can lead to the international responsibility of offending state or causing damage state. Therefore, international law is not challenged about existence of binding rules regarding the management of invasive alien species in Caspian Sea, but effective implementation of these rules requires further cooperation between member states.

Echinacea purpurea (EP) a member of the Asteraceae family is one of the most popular herbal medicines. This study was done to evaluate the effects of dietary EP on growth and antioxidant defence status in rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. A total number of 360 O. mykiss (mean weight 6.25 ± 0.02 g) were divided into four experimental groups including a control and 3 experimental groups that EP was incorporated in their diet at 0.5, 1 and 2 mg/kg. After 8 weeks of experiment growth parameters and antioxidant defence indices including plasma catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activity were measured. Our results showed that EP extract affect growth indices as the highest value of weight gain and SGR was seen in fish fed 2 mg/kg EP. Activity of catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase did not affect by EP. Results indicated that feeding rainbow trout with EP enriched diets at 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 g. kg-1 levels significantly enhance the growth but had no effect on antioxidant defence.
